Workshop aims :

• To enlighten the participants on how structural biology can be utilized to find solutions to the prevalent diseases in Africa and give them an overview of target selection, production, structural determination/analysis, and high-throughput structure-guided fragment-based drug design.

• Provide hands-on training on protein crystallization by hanging drop vapour diffusion

• Harvest and cryo-cool the protein crystals

• Remotely connect to the European Synchrotron Radiation Facilities (ESRF), Grenoble, France, and collect X-ray diffraction data from the crystals grown by vapour diffusion

• Provide an overview of Cryo-EM data collection and structural determination process at ESRF.
