Workshop aims :​

•  Deliver lectures on the principles of protein crystallization, X-ray crystallography, cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM), and cryo-EM tomography.

• Conduct hands-on training in protein crystallization using the vapor diffusion method.

• Provide remote access to the Canadian Light Source for synchrotron-based X-ray data collection.

• Deliver both theoretical and practical training in protein structure prediction using AlphaFold.

• Conduct practical training in protein structure visualization, analysis, and interpretation using tools such as PyMol and ChimeraX.

• Use protein structures (from AlphaFold2 and experimental data) to screen small molecule compound libraries with Schrödinger.
